Reviving old metal, metal with history, finding ways to exhibit the metal’s unique character. I experiment comparing opposites to expose the beauty of the metal. Sometimes contrasting found metal objects with whimsical vintage toys and creating alternative environments. Environs that explore the nostalgia of the past.

After majoring in Art History, I took a sculpture class at a local community college. We progressed through clay, plaster and metal. I instantly fell for metal. I entered my first student art show and was awarded first place. A nudge that seemingly allowed me permission to explore and chase expression. Several more classes in sculpture, welding and blacksmithing have followed.

My work ranges from large, kinetic, motorized sculptures to small illuminated shadow boxes.
