Metal is my media of choice. I particularly seek old metal, like metal from vintage cars. Packed with history and stories of the past. When I start sanding the metal there is often a surprise in the layers. A dark color turns primer bright, a rusted, barnacled piece pops shiny. Rebirth to the discarded. I attempt to express a subtle nod to what used to be. I want the viewer to find their own nostalgia as they explore each sculpture. The addition of a vintage toy is like a whimsical passenger that has somehow enjoyed the journey.
Art is unquestionably one of the purest and highest elements in human happiness. It trains the mind through the eye, and the eye through the mind. As the sun colours flowers, so does art colour life.

When buying from an artist/maker, you're buying more than just an object/painting. You are buying hundreds of hours of failures and experimentation. You are buying days, weeks & months of frustration, and moments of pure joy. You aren't just buying a thing, you're buying a piece of heart, part of a soul, a moment of someone's life. Most importantly, you're buying the artist more time to explore something they are passionate about.
